About the blog

This is where I post anything and everything related to Hyper-V and virtualization that I feel like sharing. I’ll try and keep it to unique content as there are a number of sites and blogs that give you the nitty gritty technological info. No need for me to regurgitate that all over again.

About me

My name is Martin Edelius and I work as a Hyper-V consultant at one of Swedens largest IT-companies. I’ve been working with Microsofts products for the past 10 years and I’ve been working with IT for almost 20 years.

I started working with Hyper-V when it was released as beta and my first installation was with the Release Candidate for a customer who really wanted to give it a spin.

Before I switched employer me and a colleague managed a Hyper-V cluster for our entire production environment (approximately 50 servers). We started out on Hyper-V RTM but migrated the entire environment to a five node R2 cluster when it was released. In the process we also switched hardware and ran it on HP DL580 and 380 servers with an EVA 440 SAN.

Besides Hyper-V I also work with the surrounding products and technologies such as System Center Virtual Machine Manager and Data Protection Manager. The failover clustering technology in Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 are a natural addition to Hyper-V.

My certifications related to Hyper-V and surrounding technologies so far are 070-403 and 070-659.
